The summer session of Sunday School classes begins Sunday, June 3rd. The children will continue in their current classes.
High School and Middle School students will join the adult class for the summer as we study together about Apologetics: A Primer on Defending the Faith.
Apologetics literally means “defense of the faith”. This course provides a framework for understanding the nature of God’s authority (general revelation in creation and special revelation in the Scriptures) and for understanding how the Christian is to defend the Christian faith, revealed in the Scriptures, to others. As Peter commanded,
“in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason of the hope that is in you” (I Peter 3:15).
May we all grow to respond humbly and boldly to this task.
This class will meet in the sanctuary for the first week.
